GM Tristan posted the default controls of Crazy Kart on his blog. I’m more used to using my left hand for directional purposes and my right hand for everything else (talk Counter strike and other FPS). What I did is I crossed my arms so that my left hand would be on the directional arrows and my right hand on everything else.

I hate it though, it’s really painful to the arms after a while. So I found a solution to all your problems, well for the people with a USB controller atleast.
I found joytokey,
JoyToKey enables PC game controllers to mimic a mouse and the keyboard. It is a freeware utility which can be of great use to disabled users.
That should say everything. For the soft minded, what it actually does is emulate keyboard button presses on the joystick so it would trick the program (CK on this situation) that we are pressing left and right on the keyboard when we are actually pressing the directinoal pad on the usb controller. LOL, my explanation is actually more confusing.
I actually used this software when I was playing maplestory
